Could this be one of the best-looking plants in the world? The stunning Alocasia x Amazonica, also known and the Elephant Ear plant or simply as Alocasia Polly has distinctive arrow-shaped leaves with slightly raised white veins.

The plant looks fabulous on a side table or in a prominent position in an office and prefers a humid environment with plenty of indirect light.

Being a tropical species, originally from the rainforest, the plant can be quite needy, particularly in the winter months where it will require regular spraying to increase humidity. If the leaves die in the winter don’t be alarmed, they’ll return in abundance in the spring.
